help your perimenopause insomnia with homoepathy

Going for a couple of nights with only a few hrs of solid sleep is one thing. Going for 5 years or more on 4 hrs a night is another. Peri-menopause insomnia is no joke.

The thing about not getting enough sleep is that it affects everything else, especially at menopause.

We really need that deep sleep which allows our parasympathetic nervous system to kick in.

In menopause our sympathetic nervous system is often running the show. This is the “fight flight response” which can be causing some of the more distressing symptoms you might be experiencing in your peri-menopause.

Without sleep, our anxiety and feelings of panic are worse, brains are foggy and moods all over the place.

Reaching for another cup of coffee or sugar makes the whole cycle worse.

Sleeping tablets have all sorts of side effects and are very addictive. They don’t solve the underlying cause of your insomnia.

In homeopathic treatment we treat the root cause of your sleep problems.

Some women are waking at night because of hot flushes. In this case I would be treating the hormonal imbalance so the flushes are no longer a problem.

If a woman is very stressed and can’t wind down at night. I look at remedies to help decrease stress hormones, and nourish her nervous system.

Exhaustion from caring for others, grief and overuse of stimulants can all be causes and contributing factors to insomnia.

Once you are sleeping better your vitality and wellbeing will improve.

There are many remedies for sleep and ideally you would have a few consultations to really get to the bottom of things.

If you did want to have a go at self prescribing , you could order the Helios Sleep combination from Helios Pharmacy here . Take it 1 pill 3 x daily for a week. Once things improve stop the remedy. Repeat if symptoms return.

If this does not resolve your sleep you must get an in-depth consultation where we can look at your life and what is going on for you right now. The consultation is a really great support to put in place in your peri-menopause so you have a bit of time to pause, reflect and digest all the changes going on.

I am really passionate about working with women during this important transitional time, and would love to hear from you. You can book a FREE 15 minute consultation with me here if you are curious and want to know more.

Please share with your women friends going through menopause.

Hi, I have just turned 50 and definitely going through peri menopause. I can’t remember the last time I slept through the night so am very keen to hear what other women have found helpful.
